Upcoming Gigs:
Thursday, September 21, 2006 - Los Angeles, CA - Largo Pub
www.largo-la.com
In 1992 Love Jones moved to Los Angeles and immediately became the house band at Largo on Thursday nights for over a year. During this time Love Jones built their local reputation that eventually led to a record deal with Zoo/BMG in May 1993. It's also where they met Jon Brion, who would play on both LJ albums. This will be Love Jones first performance at Largo in over 12 years.
Saturday, October 14, 2006 - Louisville, CA - Phoenix Hill Tavern
www.phoenixhill.com
Love Jones' home turf in Louisville was Tewligans, but the band performed at Phoenix Hill numerous times in 1990 and 1991 while building their local following.
A return visit to Phoenix Hill in 2001 was their first performance since being "Banned" from PH in 1991 due to something Ben said from the stage.
This performance is a benefit for the Southern Comfort New Orleans Musician Fund, that helps musicians affected by Katrina.
