Home   Hard Candy Zoo Entertainment Promo Cassette February, 1994 Hard Candy was a Valentine's Day promotional cassette sent to radio stations and retail stores to promote Love Jones' live show and tour. The cassette includes Love Jones' performance of "Little Black Book" on "Late Night with Conan OÕBrien" January 7, 1994, and a show from the ill-fated Afghan Whigs tour in November 1993 at Irving Plaza in NYC. The cassette is infamous for a pointed attack on self-pitying rock star Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, who we later heard is a really nice guy. Tough shit. Just kiddin'...no, but seriously, tough shit, Eddie. Console yourself with your million dollar home and beautiful wife. By the way, I hear that you'll be playing Batman in the next installment of the Warner Bros. film series. True? You heard it here first.
