Flavour of Love
Audio Cassette
Playback Records
July 1990
Flavour of Love was a compilation of live and studio recordings. For the most part, a live intro seguing into a studio version of each song.
The live tracks and banter were recorded at Dutch's Tavern in July 1990. Love Jones were guest hosts at the infamous "Monkey Hour" for vacationing host Danny Flanigan. Danny, an early supporter of Love Jones, offered an Open Mic forum that Love Jones used to break in new material. Danny went to Austrailia and asked LJ to host the show, which was recorded by Dony Erwin (Barry's cousin) on a Tascam 4-Track tape machine and edited on a Sony Cassette Tape Dubing deck borrowed from Ben Jones, owner of Better Days Records, a Louisville music lovers' institution.
The studio tracks were recorded in July 1990 at the Kentucky Theatre on Fourth Street, and at the Forbis Studio.
